A plain description of what this site collects, which is very little, and what the exercises do with what you type or tap.

Small Calm is a reading site with a few small exercises. You do not need an account, and the site does not ask for personal details unless you choose to write to the editors.

The exercises

The breathing timer, grounding walkthrough, body scan, sleep checklist and mindful minutes timer all run inside your browser. Nothing you tap, tick or time is sent to the site or to anyone else, and nothing about your use of them is recorded or counted. When you close or reload the page, the exercise starts afresh. The sleep checklist does not remember which items you ticked.

Comfort settings

The settings panel at the foot of each page offers switches for pausing motion, larger text and higher contrast. If your browser allows it, the choices are saved in your own browser storage so they carry from page to page. They stay on your device, and clearing site data removes them. The site works the same if storage is blocked.

What the site collects

The site sets no cookies of its own, runs no advertising and loads no analytics scripts. It collects no names, email addresses or health information through its pages. The contact form does not send anything by itself: it opens your email program with a message addressed to the editors, and nothing leaves until you send it.

What third parties see

Like any website, this one is delivered by a hosting provider, and ordinary technical request data such as your IP address and browser type passes through it. The page fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so the font provider also receives a standard request when a page opens. The editors do not control how those providers handle that technical data. Pages that cite sources link to those sources on other sites, which have their own privacy practices.

If you write to the editors

An email address is used only to reply and to correct a page. It is not added to a list, sold or shared. Please keep health details out of messages. See the evidence notes for how corrections are handled.

The short version

No accounts, no advertising, no analytics, and exercises that keep nothing. A saved comfort setting, if you choose one, stays on your own device.
